Just had a tout unexpectingly call me with the silly catch line "Just give me a chance". Very skeptical of anyone whom I don't know that calls me. Anyway, the only way this guy could have gotten my number is if the book I use sells a list of client numbers. I am thinking this is case, but do not know what recourse (if any) that I have. Is there anything that can be done to prevent books from selling your phone number or address. Would like to know if there are any books that refuse to sell a list of client phone numbers?

Many, if not all books are willing to sell numbers of customers who have not had any action with their shop for an extended period of time and the ones that do not, it is easy to approach a clerk for a list also.
